Clarksville Museum

Clarksville Museum is 1.0 mile from Midtown Inn in Clarksville, Tenn. Located in the heart of historic downtown Clarksville, the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is the State’s second largest general museum. With over 35,000 square feet of the region’s best hands-on activities and special events…people of all ages agree – the Customs House Museum is well worth the stop!

Explore an entire city block featuring large gallery spaces filled with fine art, science and history. The Explorer’s Gallery is packed with fun, learning and fantasy in Aunt Alice’s Attic, McGregor’s Market and kitchen, and of course – the Bubble Room! Finally, get “all aboard” to see our fantastic model trains. Our volunteer engineers “ride the rails” every Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Cumberland Riverwalk

Cumberland Riverwalk is 0.3 mile from Midtown Inn in Clarksville, Tenn. Stroll the meandering Cumberland RiverWalk, the city's signature riverfront promenade. Clarksville

Clarksville is in Montgomery County, Tenn.  and the fifth largest city in the state. The city was incorporated in 1785, and named for General George Rogers Clark, frontier fighter and Revolutionary War hero, brother of William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Clarksville is the home of Austin Peay State University, The Leaf-Chronicle; the oldest newspaper in Tennessee, and neighbor to the Fort Campbell, Kentucky, United States Army base.

Dunbar Cave

Dunbar Cave is 4.0 miles from Midtown Inn in Clarksville, Tenn. Dunbar Cave State Park is located 60 minutes northwest of Nashville and about one and a half miles northeast of downtown Clarksville in Montgomery County. Dunbar Cave is the most prominent of several caves located in this designated natural area. In the roomy mouth of the cave, square dances, radio shows, and big band era concerts were once held.
